About UT’s SDGs

University of Taipei (also referred to as “UT”) as the only municipal university in Taiwan, is a comprehensive university focusing on urban development. Based on tradition and innovation, UT features mastery of teacher training, expertise in athlete training, and specialty in urban development. Hence, UT dedicates itself to quality education, good health and wellbeing, sustainable cities and communities, etc. The university devotes itself to fulfilling social responsibilities, encouraging faculty and students to offer social services, promoting lifelong education and implementing the idea of sustainable development. UT has earned Ranking 70th for the SDG 8 - Decent Work and Economic Growth in the 2019 Times Higher Education Impact Rankings and Ranking 96th for the SDG 11 - Sustainable Cities and Communities in the 2020 Times Higher Education Impact Rankings.

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) truly reflect a university's missions for social responsibility and impact. UT holds the same core values to achieve the goals. The website presents SDG-related activities held by UT which demonstrates the characteristics of its sustainable development.
