Recent Developments in Climate Change and the Trend of Integrating Education for Sustainable Development

Following the failure of the Copenhagen Climate Conference in 2009, UNESCO proposed climate change education in 2010 as a framework, strategy and action plan for education for sustainable development. The three main goals of climate change education are capacity building, innovative teaching and mainstreaming of climate change, and non-formal education and networking. An issue is necessarily related to multiple SDGs, and a SDG is necessarily related to multiple issues. Climate change education is environmental education for sustainable development, that is, education for sustainable development.
