【USR】The Good Cycle of "You and I, Together"—Advocacy, Care, and Field Management for Community Sustainability - Digital New Life for the Elderly - Practical Mobile Phone Course (1)

The "Digital New Life for the Elderly - Practical Mobile Phone Course" series focuses on smart living applications. In this session, the project team closely collaborated with the Minquan Community Development Association to design advanced course content tailored to the real needs of elderly participants. The course covers practical applications such as using instant messaging apps, online shopping, electronic payment operations, and downloading and using health management apps. It also includes hands-on practice to help participants become familiar with the operation process. During the course, participants practice using instant messaging to communicate with family members, simulate online shopping and payment processes, with teachers and volunteers patiently guiding each learner to ensure the knowledge is applied effectively. To reinforce the learning outcomes, the team also designed interactive Q&A sessions and practical demonstrations by participants, allowing learners to apply their new skills to everyday life. After the course, many elderly participants provided positive feedback and expressed a strong interest in joining more digital skills-related learning activities. Based on this feedback, the team will optimize the course, continue to promote digital living integration for the elderly, and expand the scope and content of future activities. This will further deepen the outcomes of the university's social responsibility practices and achieve the long-term goal of intergenerational learning and community co-prosperity.
