【USR】The Good Cycle of "You and I, Together"—Advocacy, Care, and Field Management for Community Sustainability - Digital New Life for Seniors - Practical Smartphone Course(2)

The project team, in collaboration with the Yonghe Minquan Community Development Association, jointly promotes the "Digital New Life for Seniors - Practical Smartphone Course" series of activities, aiming to bridge the digital divide for seniors. This course focuses on "Basic Smartphone Operations" and covers essential smartphone functions such as turning the phone on and off, adjusting volume, managing contacts, taking photos, and accessing images. Through simulated scenarios like taking and sharing photos and making and receiving calls, participants deepen their understanding and application of these functions. To enhance the learning experience, volunteers are arranged to provide one-on-one teaching, catering to the individual needs and usage habits of each senior participant. They assist in overcoming learning challenges. In the classroom, participants not only learn the basics but also gain confidence in using smartphones for daily activities. Participants actively ask questions and bring up personal issues they face, making the course more relevant to real-life needs. The atmosphere of the event is relaxed and enjoyable, with participants gaining inspiration and support from one another. Volunteers, too, deeply understand the significance of shared learning and companionship throughout the process.
