About UT’s SDGs

University of Taipei (also referred to as “UT”) as the only municipal university in Taiwan, is a comprehensive university focusing on urban development. Based on tradition and innovation, UT features mastery of teacher training, expertise in athlete training, and specialty in urban development. Hence, UT dedicates itself to quality education, good health and wellbeing, sustainable cities and communities, etc. The university devotes itself to fulfilling social responsibilities, encouraging faculty and students to offer social services, promoting lifelong education and implementing the idea of sustainable development. UT has earned Ranking 401-600 in the 2021 Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings. For specific goals, UT was ranked 301-400 for the SDG3 Health and Wellbeing, 201-300 for the SDG4 Quality Education, 101-200 for SDG10 Reduced Inequalities and 401-600 for SDG17 Partnership for the Goals.

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) truly reflect a university's missions for social responsibility and impact. UT holds the same core values to achieve the goals. The website presents SDG-related activities held by UT which demonstrates the characteristics of its sustainable development.
