"Enjoy the world with one eighth vision "Special lecture

Enjoy the world with one eighth vision The topic of this lecture is named “Enjoy the world with one eighth vision,” and the speaker is Lin, Fang-Yu who is the cooperative speaker of “King Car Cultural & Educational Foundation.” Moreover, she is also the trained lecturer in Life education of Ministry of Labor. Due to the acquired factors, she is almost blind, and uses her one eighth vision to perceive the world. Nevertheless, she accepts the imperfect life and tries to find her uniqueness instead of giving up herself. With this faith, she becomes a visually impaired artist, actress and singer now. This speech content was according to her experience and background. She was a victim of cyberbullying, and her life was totally changed from then on – she lost her seven eighth vision forever. However, teacher Lin, Fang-Yu wasn’t defeated by this tragedy but changed her mind from pessimism to optimism with the support of her family in three months. What’s more, she made up her mind to “face the challenges bravely”. She knew the fact that nothing is perfect, so she told the listeners “Pick yourselves up from where you have fallen” and “Never be confined to self-deficiencies and give up the dream.” She also said “Those who are visually impaired aren’t destined to be masseurs. Although it is much more difficult to achieve our goals than the normal, we can still strive to pursue our dreams.” Without doubts, she made every effort to use tactile to make up for the lack of vision. Finally, she realized her dream and became a painter. The speaker, teacher Lin, Fang-Yu, led the listeners to play some interesting games in the lecture. First. Close your eyes and try to drink the tea. The lecturer invited four listeners to walk to the front and block their vision with the masks. Afterwards, she put some Tetra Pak drinks and straws on the table, and asked them to use their tactile to find and drink as fast as they could. After this activity , the listeners could experience how to use their tactile to do the daily trifles if they had lost their vision one day. They truly felt difficult when they played this game. Second. Walk without the vision. There were two listeners in this game. One needed to wear a pair of shades and acted like a visually impaired person, the other acted the assistant. The former person had to hold the guide stick and put one of his or her hand on the assistant’s arm to complete the guide mission. After this activity, the listeners could experience that someone help and guide you walk forward if you had been a visually impaired person.
