Taipei Municipal Elementary school Preparation for 110 Academic Year Bilingual Education Experimental Course Activity

In order to adapt to the trend of bilingual education in Taipei City. CTECD and BERC of UT implements EMI and CLIL approach and combines the 12-Year Basic Education core competencies, English learning domain guideline, and cross-curriculum teaching strategies for in-service teachers. In the workshop of Zhi-Shan elementary school, Professor Pu and Lecture teacher Wu shared the basis of curriculum development to ensure continuity between educational stages, bridging between domains, and integration between subjects. To reach multiple goals, teaching and learning process have focused not only on content but also on language. The principles behind CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) include the wide range of advantages of cross-curricular teaching and the content in an additional language, mainly English. At the end of time, we exchange experiences and opinions to sufficient the courses and learning aspect of children.
