Past and present of British Museum The lecturer is Dr. Linting Qiu of Art History from National Taiwan University. The topic of the lecture is the past and present of the British Museum. The content of the lecture included celebrity anecdotes, collections, ancient civilizations, and the past and present of the collections. Famous figures include Dickens and Ye Ci from the West, Sun Yat-sen from the East, and Xiong Nan from the South. The lecturer tells their stories with the British Museum. In addition to a long history, the British Museum has also been visited by many celebrities. The museum also stores many precious collections, such as: Greek vases, bronze statues of Guanyin Bodhisattva, Ur goat, Rosetta stone, etc., all of which are unique. The collection of ancient civilizations, such as pictograms, ancient Greek, the head of Ramses II, and the Temple of Abu Simbel, are important world cultural heritages. The five senses, bodies, movements, and expressions depicted in these artworks, the lecturer also led everyone to appreciate the meticulousness and ingenuity, and taste the creation of ancient artworks. The speaker of this lecture provided information on valuable cultural relics and characters in the British Museum, as well as various historical stories, as well as artistic creation techniques. She also gave the audience more knowledge and appreciation of precious culture in the museum. In addition, she quoted that the former curator of the British Museum David.
