The biggest obstacles for East Asian English learners who are suffering from exams are the fear of opening their mouths and unnatural behavioral responses. In the learning process led by higher education, English has become a subject to deal with exams. We spend most of our time practicing tricky grammars and exam questions, while deviating from the most primitive function of the language: a communication tool for interpersonal communication.
