International Trends in Carbon Neutrality

Climate change has led to the spread of extreme climate disasters, and governments are taking the initiative to declare their move towards carbon neutral. Countries internalized the Paris Agreement goals into specific climate policies and regulations, set clear climate policy and economic goals to provide certainty for business investment transition, ultimately expanding the effectiveness of government climate policies while promoting employment and economic growth. The European Union has launched the European Green Deal, which aims to transform Europe into the world's first climate-neutral, carbon-neutral continent by 2050. Japan has proposed a green growth strategy, which is a set of policies to create a benign cycle between the economy and the environment. Korea has also developed a 2050 carbon neutral strategy in the hope of building a sustainable and green society.
