In order to cultivate students' ability of practical planning and theoretical application, the Department of Urban Development takes Minxiong Township, Chiayi County as the base for practical planning, through field investigation, teacher-student discussions, and the process of soliciting benefits from local governments, to cultivate students' teamwork spirit to strengthen Students' understanding and operational ability of urban planning. This time, Chiayi was chosen as the off-site teaching location, mainly because the Beishizi camp area in Chiayi is a rare and large-scale public land, with an area of ​​about 9 hectares, and all of it is plain land for development. The students of the Department of Urban Development did not design and develop the plain land. In addition, the Chiayi County Government is willing to provide time to communicate with students. This is a good opportunity for students to understand the operation of the planning practice industry. Therefore, this teaching location is chosen.
