Winner of the 2010 Los Angeles International Liszt Piano Competition, Mr. Wei-En Hsu is now having a busy performing career throughout the States, Europe, and Asia. In recent years, Mr. Hsu has established himself as an early music specialist in Baroque opera and the art of recitative for pianists. At the same time, he has worked closely with living composers in his generation in promoting new music. Mr. Hsu has worked as a repetiteur for One World Symphony, British Youth Opera, Opera Company of Brooklyn, Music Academy of the West, Aspen Opera Theatre Center, University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, and Amore Opera for their opera productions. He also has the abilities of coaching in Italian, German, French, English, Latin, as well as in Russian, Korean, Mandarin, and Taiwanese. His choral composition was premiered in Germany in summer 2006. Latest composition "Foster Medley for Pi-Pa Quartet" premiered in Taiwan in 2011.
