In 2023, there is an Exchange Program for Teaching Practicum between Hokkaido University of education (HUE) and University of Taipei (UT). Two Professors and four exchange trainees from HUE came to the Department of English Instruction in UT to engage in a two-week teaching and training program from March 11th to March 24th. During the period, the students participated in classes with the students from first to third-year in Department of English Instruction; in the second week, they joined educational internships with senior students in Ximen Elementary School. In their free time, students from English instruction also acted as tour guides, leading Japanese students to experience a cultural tour in Taiwan (such as Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, Dongmen, and Dadaocheng) and establish a wonderful friendship. In the end of the program, students from HUE gave a presentation of their reflection and feelings in the farewell party, where they shared what they experience during the time in Taiwan. The program was successful and had built a good interaction between the two schools.
