In the course of this activity, the Department of Early Childhood Education prepared for students from other departments three different games. Firstly, there was one that involved picture book interaction, where students could partake in the fantastical world of picture books through the interactive elements integrated in the picture books. This activity also emphasized the importance of linguistic understanding and communicative expression. Origami is the second activity that was introduced. Students were able to artistically express themselves through understanding of illustrated instructions and their own handicraft abilities. Lastly, board games are the third activity that was brought before the students. In nursery schools or kindergartens, board games not only inject a dose of fun among the children, but also encourage interaction between them. Through this activity, we were able to stimulate students’ reaction while incorporating a delightful atmosphere to our event. Hopefully such demonstrations could bring some understanding of our Department to those who participated.
