Prof. Hong Yixing, through scientific verification, explained how to use the observed data of the Datun Volcano, together with the review of chronological literature and historical records, to understand the geologic activity of the Taipei Basin, which is a footwall fault/semi-undercutting, and to deduce the recent status of the volcanic activity of the Datun Volcano. Finally, we will use scientific deconstruction methods to understand whether mylonites are nucleation phenomena or not. We will also explore the appropriateness of the classification of Taiwan's coast.
