The speaker started the lecture from the point that people all enjoy stories and talked about the characteristics that capture people's attention and focus when telling stories. The storyteller's qualities and important points to note were also discussed. One of the features that makes a story captivating is its mystery and the unknown, which are the focal points that storytellers need to create. In addition, the speaker provided many examples to demonstrate different storytelling techniques, such as appropriate pauses, changes in tone and pace to create the background and atmosphere of the story. Metaphors were also employed to enhance the overall richness of the story, keeping the audience more focused on your speech and narrative.
