The 2023 International Conference of Social and Public Affairs and Joint Administration Symposium of Eight Schools

With the development of science and technology, rapid changes in the social environment, and the severe impact of the COVID-19 epidemic on mankind, major changes have taken place in the form of government organizations, public governance models, and the core functions of public sector personnel. Based on this, the Department of Social and Public Affairs of our school organizes this international academic symposium to promote interaction and exchanges between academic research and practical application fields, and to promote the development and progress of related fields. The topics covered in this seminar focus on the following aspects: First, the technological environment: the development and application of emerging technologies are constantly changing people’s lives and work styles, such as artificial intelligence, big data, the Internet of Things, etc. This seminar It will explore how the public sector can better utilize these technologies and deal with possible drawbacks. Second, cross-domain governance: The trend of globalization and the complexity of public governance have intensified the interaction between countries, regions, and interdisciplinary fields. This seminar will focus on the theory and practical cases of cross-domain governance. Third, organizational change: In order to adapt to the rapidly changing external environment, various organizations in the public and private sectors must continue to innovate and transform. The challenges and opportunities that promote organizational change are also the focus of this meeting. Fourth, the transformation of public service manpower functions: With the development of science and technology and environmental changes, the future functions of public service manpower must keep pace with the times, and this activity will also focus on related issues. This seminar was held on November 3 (Friday) in the first, second and third conference rooms and classroom G415 on the 2nd floor of the Gongcheng Building on the Boai Campus of our school. Professors and experts from relevant domestic public and private universities gave keynote speeches. , forums and seminars, and scholars from the United States and Singapore participated in comments. A total of about 145 people participated, making it a successful international academic exchange event. This seminar also invited Liu Jianxin (Secretary-General of the Examination Yuan) to give a lecture on "The Current Situation and Prospects of Diversified Selection of Civil Servants in my country."
