Social Work and Counseling in Child Development

SDG 3: Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages. Through the provision of mental health support and social services, social work and counseling in child development contribute to ensuring the healthy development of children, thus contributing to this goal. SDG 4: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all. By providing support and counseling within the education system, this field helps ensure the academic and social success of children, thus promoting inclusive and equitable education. SDG 10: Reduce inequality within and among countries. Social work and counseling in child development contribute to reducing inequalities among children, including those related to health, education, and social participation, thereby contributing to this goal. SDG 16: Promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all, and build effective, accountable, and inclusive institutions at all levels. Through the provision of family support and community services, this field contributes to the promotion of peaceful, just, and inclusive societies, thus contributing to this goal.
