The Department of Earth and Life Science of University of Taipei promotes environmental education and outdoor education to enhance college students’ understanding of forests and forest ecological functions by joining in the activities conduced by the Dongyanshan Nature Center. The content is based on the forest resources of Mountain Dongyan and combined with the experience study, forest "carbon sink", infrared automatic camera and night observation to help college students understand the forest ecology and biodiversity. The students are expected to learn: Understand the forest ecological environment of low-altitude Mountain Dongyan .  Understand forest ecological services, wildlife and their relationship with us, and the importance of habitat.  Understand the importance of forest management and its impact on carbon storage.  Observe animals in Mountain Dongyan at night.
