The University of Taipei English Instruction major has had a long-running tradition of hosting English winter camps at different elementary schools, and this year is no exception. Since the summer of ‘23, the junior class, along with volunteers from freshmen and sophomores, have been working avidly to ensure every student in Penglai Elementary School can learn useful language skills while having the time of their lives. As an educational major, it’s been our goal for every kid to learn English through activities, games, and experience instead of just dull reading and writing. Every lesson plan, class material, sports event, and choreographies had been through countless trials and errors for perfection. Finally, all of our efforts paid off when we saw the joy on everybody’s faces. They even gave heartfelt feedback on how much they learned and what they loved. All’s been set and done, we now pass the torch to our successor and the next school, and may the beautiful tradition live on.
