This speech invited Mr. Duo-Wei Ding, a graduate of our department. Mr. Ding recently graduated from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with a master's degree. Currently, he is working in the United States and will begin studying for a doctoral degree in September of this year. During his presentation, he shared his study planning, learning methods, and strategies from his college experience on how to effectively manage time to improve learning efficiency. Additionally, he mentioned his motivations for studying abroad, the preparation process after setting the goals, methods of applying to schools, and also his experiences of studying, researching, working, and living in the United States. He hopes to provide guidance, assistance and inspiration to the fellow students. He encouraged everyone to overcome their inner obstacles, step out of their comfort zones, leave Taiwan, and embrace the global stage.
