Bopiliao Historic District Chengxi Operations Office Exhibition and Publicity (Education and Promotion) Group

Bopiliao is located at Lane 173, Kangding Road, Wanhua District, Taipei City, Taiwan. It is bounded by Laosong Elementary School to the north, Kunming Street to the east, Guangzhou Street to the south, and Kangding Road to the west. It is one of the only surviving Qing Dynasty streets in Taipei City today. The Taipei City Government established On March 29, 2010, it was announced that it would be registered as a historical building. This course also introduces students to the expressions of "peeling tree bark", "peeling animal skin" and the pronunciation of "Beipi". The opening of Guangzhou Street, Kunming Street and Kangding Road during the "urban reform" turned the old Bopiliao Street (today's Lane 173, Kangding Road) from an important street during the Qing Dynasty into an alley hidden in the settlement. There is an open space between the old Bopiliao Street (today’s Kangding Road Lane 173) and Guangzhou Street, which was the site of a firefighting pool expropriated by the Japanese government during World War II. The section of road near the intersection of Kangding Road and Guangzhou Street is now known as "Tutan City" because it was developed as a coal sales and distribution center in its early days. It was a street with busy commercial transactions at that time, with many exquisite bungalows, which are still there today. The spatial characteristics and urban texture of the initial development are retained.
