Wanhua’s century-old life story in time and space

1. Introduction to Bopiliao Old Street: Today's Kangding Road is one of the remaining roads in Menga that still retains the street style of the Qing Dynasty. At that time, Bopiliao Old Street went west through Dingxin Street to the front of Longshan Temple, and east to Wan'an Street to Gutingzhuang near today's Longshan Junior High School. 2. In the early days of Japanese colonial rule: The Japanese government was aware of the narrow streets and lack of sewers in the Qing Dynasty, and began a series of urban policies of "urban correction", which mainly focused on road networks, parks, sewers and drainage plans. In the 38th year of Meiji, the urban area was reorganized and Guangzhou Street, Kangding Road, and Kunming Street were established. In the 38th year of Meiji, roads were opened. As a result, the old street in the Qing Dynasty was cut off and hidden behind Guangzhou Street. The north side of the old street remains. There are more traditional shophouses from the Qing Dynasty, and the buildings on Kangding Road, Guangzhou Street, and Kunming Street have archways. Summary: Through on-site visits, students will deepen their understanding of the era and background of Bopiliao, and through cultural relic promotion and exploration of the mysteries of ancient streets, they will have a better understanding and reflection on the entire historical process.
