Building a cultural asset and digital learning base in Taipei City West (Manga) - Virtual museum construction and utilization plan - application of 3D digital modeling technology
In the past, historical and cultural relics and architectural records and field investigation records were mostly based on text or photos and videos. It was technically difficult to climb up to measure the entire old building and photograph various angles. In order to create Taipei Xicheng (Wanhua) culture Assets, a group of college students, led by teachers, used three-dimensional space, telemetry and aerial photography to record 3D images of Wanhua and build a virtual museum. You can use a tablet or mobile phone to view the appearance of the building. This production combines images and three-dimensional models to give Wanhua a different look. This spatial technology elevates fieldwork to another level, making the results no longer just plain photos. Present. Li Jiwen, Director of the Applied Spatial Information Department of HKUST: "Combining our photogrammetry technology with our geographical information technology, we can do 3D modeling of neighborhoods and create digital collections."
