Hyperlink of local X school—Enter Wanhua’s local perspective
It is a great honor to invite Director Zhang Qinpeng of the Taipei Rural Education Center to give a speech. Director Zhang Qinpeng divided the lecture into three parts, introducing the history of USR, Wanhua and local actual cases in sequence. First of all, the USR program allows students to give back to the society through what they learn in school. In addition to helping the local area, it also allows the local area to get to know our local schools. In the process, we first communicate with the local people to find out and understand the local people. issues and residents’ opinions, and then connect with local communities to generate collaboration. Director Zhang Qinpeng also mentioned that when understanding the site, it can be analyzed according to the five aspects of people, culture, place, industry, and scenery. Then we talked about the history of Wanhua. Wanhua, formerly known as Monga, originally meant "canoe" in the Ketagalan language of the Pingpu ethnic group. It was the origin of the development of Taipei City. During the Qing Dynasty, Wanhua, Dadaocheng and Taipei Fucheng were collectively known as the "Three Fuchs". "City Street". Because Wanhua is a port, there are many canoes. It can be seen that Menga was once prosperous due to the profits of Hong Kong merchants. During the Qing Dynasty, it was listed as one of the three important cities together with Tainan Fucheng and Changhua Lukang. There was "one city and two deer". It is known as "Three Monga". Wanhua is the earliest developed place in Taipei. There are 7 bridges connecting it to New Taipei City. It is an important administrative area for Taipei City's external connections. With the rapid urban changes in Taipei, the commercial center of gravity has gradually moved eastward, resulting in the decline of Wanhua's industry, the inability to renew old housing, a high aging population, and a decline in the quality of living environment, making Wanhua a disadvantaged and relatively high proportion of senior citizens in Taipei City. Administrative areas with relatively high altitude and relatively backward public construction. But today’s Wanhua still has many characteristics. Not only are there many temples, monuments and historical districts, but also many masters of traditional skills. There are also many snacks and Michelins, and there are also many unique check-in spots. Famous temples include Longshan Temple, Patriarch Temple, Qingshan Temple and Tianhou Temple. Not only that, Wanhua’s characteristic streets are also everywhere, such as Qingcao Lane, Buddhist Instruments Street, Tea House Culture Old Street, Bird Street, etc., showing the current Wanhua still has a lot of room for development. Finally, Director Zhang Qinpeng cited several actual local cases in Wanhua, such as Youxi Social Innovation, Bacon Market, Menga Passport, Wanhua Social Welfare Bento, etc. He also shared several important local issues and people in Wanhua area in recent years. Pay attention to the issues. Wanhua is the birthplace of Taipei. How to revitalize Wanhua and let local people regain their local identity and local pride is a very important issue that requires everyone to brainstorm to solve.
