This course cooperates with other courses in this program. Professional tour guides will lead students to study in other places. They will actually visit the Wanhua area and experience the local environment first-hand, including Bopiliao Historic District, Qingcao Lane, Longshan Temple, etc., and through guided tours The teacher's explanations provide a deeper understanding of the historical background of the area, changes in the business environment, and health or medical-related activities and events. This experience strengthens their focus on health inequalities and helps build professional literacy. In the past, Wanhua was a distribution center for Taiwan's export goods. Many livelihood necessities, Chinese medicinal materials and other materials were imported and exported from here, so it had a significant impact on Taiwanese culture. This time I visited Qingcao Lane in Wanhua and learned that before the concept of Western medicine was introduced to Taiwan, the green herbal medicine shop was the main place for people to treat diseases. It was even called the "life-saving street" at that time. Later, during the Japanese occupation, the Japanese government also It brought many public health concepts, such as the construction of water and sewers, prevention and control of infectious diseases, and other construction and policies, which gradually improved Taiwan's health situation. This visit allowed students to understand the operation of the medical system in different periods from a historical context, and to understand the connection between society, culture, policy and public health, and the importance of policy implementation in improving health conditions. . In the past, due to lack of resources, people's health conditions were not as developed as they are today. However, with social changes, people's lifestyles and medical knowledge have changed, and the health environment has been improved through government policy intervention.
