Experimental Design: From Design To Reporting

An experiment is able to observe the causal relationship between the dependent and independent variables; statistical tests cannot verify causal relationships, only correlations. Experiment types can be classified as follows: 1.True experiment: able to conduct random assignment and have better control over the experimental treatment. 2.Quasi-experiment: lacks the characteristic of random assignment. 3.Natural experiment: unable to control the independent variable.
