2024 Decrypting Kindergarten Sex Education—A Practical Discussion
Chairman Chen Yi has been working in the central and local governments for 10 years, trying to promote fairness and justice that he deeply believes in within the system. He built the first gender equality office in Taiwan’s local governments from scratch, accompanying each bureau to implement gender justice. He is both a planner and a The advocate considers himself to be the civil servant who is least like a civil servant. After discovering that countless efforts at the grassroots level may not be worth a word from the top, she once moved to the legislator's office, hoping that she could be a bridge between the public sector and civil society, hoping to promote reforms through bills. Taiwan is very good and will definitely get better; the most difficult thing, but one that can never stop, is continuous communication and mutual understanding. Chairman Chen Yi’s reason for not initiating the Little League: Nowadays, children’s gender equality education only starts in elementary school. As a family with two children, I know that it is too slow to start in elementary school. However, adults over the age of 38 in Taiwan have not received gender equality education. How to teach children about sex and gender from an early age has become a huge anxiety for parents of this generation. We hope to learn to teach children together with all parents who cannot teach their children. By sharing gender equality education with kindergarten teachers this time, I hope to pass on gender equality education to preschool teachers, and also hope that preschool teachers will pass on these ideas to the next generation in Taiwan.
