National Yang-Ming Chiao Tung University University Sustainability Initiative and USR Project SIG Exchange Forum

This project will participate in the National Yang-Ming Chiao Tung University’s Sustainable Development SIG Exchange Forum online from 09:10-13:00 on August 15 (Tuesday), 2020. This exchange forum is in response to the country’s major net-zero emission policy in 2050. Chairman Jian Youxin of the foundation was invited to give a special speech on "Challenges and Opportunities in the Net Zero Era". At the same time, a SIG exchange forum was held based on the social responsibility of universities under the Ministry of Education and the concept of sustainability as the main axis. This exchange forum invites the National Development Council, green energy industry, community development associations and universities to discuss the concept of sustainability. Thinking as the main axis, it extends the three major aspects of "green technology", "healthy society" and "talent sustainability", linking cross-professional Professional and cross-disciplinary teams face the same issues, stand from different perspectives and observations, and think outside the old framework. Come to the forum to share experiences, exchange experiences, and share a special speech on "Healthy Society, Symbiotic Community, Care for the Elderly - Chairman Qiu Xiulan". Chairman Qiu Xiulan is one of the partners of this project. The content shared by Chairman Xiulan also makes us unique. Among them, the highly recognized "Grandpa Bear Baby Paradise", Chairman Xiulan talked about the establishment of "Grandpa Bear Baby Paradise" The origin and call for "Baby Happy Garden - Infant and Toddler (0-3 years old) day care service". The establishment process of obtaining a nanny license or receiving child care training has helped parents in the community who need day care to have no worries, so that young parents do not need to No matter how worried I am about temporary child care, I am willing to provide short-term assistance during the epidemic and help medical staff take care of children. Let us see that symbiotic communities show their most moving aspects at critical moments. Chairman Xiulan also enhances the life value of the elders through course guidance and implementation, allowing the elders in the community to come to the community and make cakes or bread for wages, so that the elders do not think that people are useless when they get old, and enhance the elders' sense of accomplishment. and a sense of community involvement. In addition, Chairman Xiulan further mentioned that there are people with physical disabilities and people with mental disabilities who are often ignored in the civil rights community. Among them, people with mental disabilities take medicine on time under the careful care of the hospital, and their condition can be stabilized and controlled in most cases, but when they return home, , but often due to the lack of caring skills of the co-residents and neglect of instructing them to take medicine. Therefore, when the mentally retarded person is under great pressure or loses control due to external stimulation, he may behave violently, such as rushing to the road and attacking community residents with tools. . This not only causes panic among residents in the community, but also increases the pressure on family caregivers. These invisible corners, through community support, give family caregivers some breathing space. Therefore, the civil rights community provides an integrated hall that accommodates all ethnic groups, just like the living room of a home, where they can accompany each other and live in harmony. In the future, I hope that this project can work with Chairman Xiulan to create a model community where people can live with peace of mind.
