Trauma-informed: Victims and perpetrators of sexual assault

【Overview】 This lecture invites Professor Zhu Huiying from the Department of Counseling and Counseling at National Chiayi University to give a lecture on "Trauma Informed-Sexual Assault" Perpetrator-Victim" workshop. Teacher Zhu has dual licenses as a consulting psychologist and clinical psychologist, and has worked in the Juvenile Department He has worked with sex offenders in the legal system and sexual assault victims in the social welfare system for many years. He also had extensive practical and research experience in the prison system while studying in the United States. 【process】 Teacher Zhu first introduced the concept of "trauma-informed", which is the current approach to treating trauma. He hopes that the environment will also provide support to understand the impact of trauma on people and provide support from this point of view. It also introduces the theory of interpersonal neurophysiology in trauma cases and psychotherapy, explaining the impact of trauma on the physiological brain of children in their early years. Teacher Zhu then explained the possible goals of psychological treatment for perpetrators and victims of sexual assault, as well as the role that helping workers will play in this process. Since the judicial system plays a key role in such cases, Teacher Zhu also discussed the impact of the judicial supervision system on the psychological rehabilitation of perpetrators and victims from this perspective. The process is interspersed with self-care and care case exploration activities.
