"Sustainability, Inclusion and Curriculum Innovation Design" USR SIG Workshop
Five schools exchanged USR SIG topics on "Sustainability, Inclusion and Curriculum Innovation Design" to strengthen their sustainable development capabilities In order to cultivate students' ability to solve complex cross-field problems and connect with local needs through social practice courses, To realize the vision of sustainable development, Taipei City University's "Tianmu Studies" USR project and Chinese Culture University's "Create a Bright Summit" USR project, Tamkang University's "Tsui Good Life" USR project, Soochow University's "Old Scholars Lin Xin" Symbiosis" USR Project, Ming Chi University of Science and Technology's "Beijing First School Belt Heritage Museum Action Plan" USR Project and jointly organized the "USR Practice Road: Sustainability, Inclusion and Curriculum Innovation Design" cross-school USR SIG workshop, Together we focus on curriculum design and local connections. In this workshop, Director Qiu Jiahui of the General Education Center of Taipei Medical University conducted practical course design operations. Thinking tools assist the planning process, making course design closer to the pulse of society. Associate Professor Tu Minfen from the Resilience Governance Planning Group of the Center for Sustainability and Social Innovation of Tamkang University shared the innovative service design course of the "Tamsui Good Life" USR project, closely linking the course content with site creation, from adventure games to board games, etc. The lively format simultaneously achieves the dual goals of USR practice and academic research. Assistant Professor Zhang Xiongsheng of Soochow University shared the practical trajectory of the "Old Shilin New Symbiosis" USR project. He has been stationed in the Shilin community for a long time to conduct cultural change surveys, and provided social practices such as home services and long-term care, which have brought positive impacts to the local area. Director Pu Yanguang of the General Education Center of Mingzhi University of Science and Technology Starting from the end, explore how to establish a reward mechanism, encourage teachers to offer social practice courses, and create a favorable environment. Teachers Chen Yingfeng and Lin Zichao from the Chinese Culture University shared the Bright Summit Project and cross-domain curriculum design respectively. Through cross-school exchanges and dialogues in this workshop, we hope to bring innovative ideas and inspiration to sustainable development education and local practice. By strengthening the link between cross-disciplinary courses and social practice, students are empowered to have design thinking and sustainable development concepts, and have the courage to face challenges and solve complex issues. "The Road to USR Practice: Sustainability, Inclusion and Curriculum Innovation Design" cross-school SIG workshop aims to provide diverse thinking From a three-dimensional perspective, we should pay equal attention to a sustainable and inclusive society and innovative education. We look forward to more practical exchanges and mutual verification in the future, accumulating local knowledge and continuing to pass it on.
