Exploration of local knowledge (3): Tracing the origin of Tianmu Waterway, net zero and energy, and gender space
We are honored to invite Wu Suting and Lin Yuting, project managers of the Taiwan Sustainable Design Society, as speakers. During the speech, the two men shared and discussed three important topics: the history and waterway festival of Tianmu Ancient Road, and the net-zero transformation concepts of decentralized energy planning, and gender and space issues. First, the speaker led the audience to review the history of the Tianmu Ancient Trail and the culture of the Waterway Festival. Through detailed descriptions and rich stories, they demonstrated the rich historical and cultural significance behind the ancient trail, as well as the importance of the Waterway Festival in the local community. status, allowing participants to better understand the value and significance of these cultural assets. The speaker then introduced the concept of net-zero transition and focused on the importance of decentralized energy planning. They explained the concept and application of decentralized energy and how to achieve the net zero goal through this strategy. They hoped to trigger participants' thinking about renewable energy and energy transition and inspire their vision and exploration of building a sustainable future. Finally, the speaker brought up the issue of gender and space, emphasized the significance of gender equality and inclusivity in space design, and raised some related issues and challenges, prompting the audience to think about how to promote gender equality and social justice by improving space design and policies.
