The speaker pointed out that European and American countries began to attach importance to the construction of public housing at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, mainly It is because of the urbanization process triggered by the industrial revolution. At that time, countries such as Britain, France and Germany were building large amounts of public housing to address the housing shortage for the working class. These residential areas usually have basic sanitation facilities and standardized building designs, providing residents with a relatively stable living environment. Speakers then discussed the background to the development of public housing, particularly the impact of health and disease issues on it. in the 19th century In the 19th and early 20th centuries, the poor living conditions in urban slums led to the spread of infectious diseases such as cholera and tuberculosis. In the design of modern public housing, health factors still play an important role, such as good ventilation, appropriate sunlight, and complete sanitation facilities, which are all considered to be the key to improving the quality of residents' life.
