Looking at urban design from the perspective of environmental behavior and body intervention

This cross-disciplinary course is honored to invite Ms. Dong Yifen from the Dance Department of Taipei City University to lead students to discuss environmental behavior. The impact and application of learning and body intervention on urban design. Through a combination of theory and practice, students will develop a deep understanding of how human behavior interacts with the urban environment and learn how to apply this knowledge to create more inclusive and functional urban spaces. This course includes a workshop on body and sculpture intervention space, trying to bring the dynamic/static hybrid characteristics of the body into public places. The dialogue between objects in the domain and the action of using the body to intervene in the space create the possibility of "extended choreography". Through the origin of "participatory art", the scope of artistic practice has been broadened to include community art, institutional criticism, relational aesthetics and social practice. Under the main axis of "relationships between people", artists are allowed to transform from creating objects to be viewed to actively promoting events/actions, and then develop various action-based practices that connect with society and the masses. Artists and Urban design no longer just raises questions, but more actively attempts to use the openness of art projects. Art and planning actions are no longer limited to established forms, and even open up solutions to social problems.
