Empower Studio Art Companion Activity: See Wanhua with Love, Let’s Paint Together, Class A
1. The preparation process is about 300 words In the process of preparing the course, after a round of preliminary practice, taking into account the time and completion status of the work, from the work to the publication of the results, our advance preparations for the course are as follows: 1. Prepare various materials and teaching materials required for demonstration in advance, such as class presentations, paper cutting, photocopying of painting reference pictures, etc. …. 2. From paper size to painting utensils, choose the ones that suit the students. Use painting materials suitable for beginners for classroom operations, such as Baohong watercolor paper, Wangyang watercolor paint box, etc. 3. The arrangement of drafts is changed from students’ own drawing to photocopying, allowing students to focus on drawing and dyeing. 4. Simplify the steps of painting. First use a briefing to explain the general process to the students, and then demonstrate it on the spot so that everyone can have a clearer understanding of the entire operation process. 5. Divide the painting reference pictures into difficulty levels from 1 to 5, allowing students to freely choose a theme that suits them. 6. The finished work is beautified using simple and easy-to-obtain paper frames to make the finished product more refined. 2. About 100 words of course/activity introduction Based on Wanhua's local characteristic buildings and street scenes with humanities and history, classic scenic spots such as Longshan Temple, Bopiliao, and Ximending were selected as painting themes. Students were taught to copy the drawings on paper in a simple way and use a pen to trace. thread and finally dyed with light watercolor This enables students to re-understand Wanhua through painting and leave their own unique insights. 3. About 200 words of student reaction, feedback and results Before class, when the students saw the schematic diagram on the table, their first reaction was that it was very difficult to complete. After a round of practical demonstrations by us, the students were generally in good condition during the early stages of copying the artwork and tracing lines. No big deal. When it’s time to color, students are often afraid to start painting. On the one hand, watercolor cannot be modified repeatedly and is relatively time-consuming. On the other hand, we are worried that it will be difficult to mix the right colors. At this time, we will use encouraging teaching to improve the students' self-confidence, or appropriately point out the points that need to be paid attention to at the moment of painting, and try to make the students participate in the whole process independently. Complete the work, finally Seeing that the students were very satisfied with their finished products and happily took photos and communicated with each other gave us a full sense of accomplishment. 4. The overall implementation experience and suggestions should be at least 400 words (results, difficulties, experiences, suggestions, etc.) This is the first time I have participated in teaching outside the classroom. During the preparatory homework, despite being nervous, we encountered difficulties in the drafting operation. , taking into account the students' painting level, we temporarily changed the original plan and changed it to photocopying. Although the whole preparation process was complicated, it was a joy to learn a new method. In this class, I was responsible for introducing the theme of painting and giving timely guidance to the students on their painting status. The former went very smoothly during the practice and the students responded well; the latter took some time to adapt, which not only challenged myself how to at the right time Point of intervention in teaching students, but also leaving students with appropriate space for independent practice. One of the most impressive things was that a student had trouble drawing the elderly man in the picture. At that time, I subconsciously revised it directly on his paper, which made the student very embarrassed. It was then that I realized that this approach seemed to make the student feel uncomfortable. Unable to proceed according to one's own intention It was a subtle situation, and I later learned from it that I should not touch the students’ works randomly, but just demonstrate it to the students elsewhere as much as possible, and I benefited a lot from it. "It was a pleasure chatting with you!" This is what a student said to me. The moment I heard it, I was filled with emotion. Painting is just a lesson. It is part of the content of the class. In fact, what is really important is to accompany the students step by step in the process of completing the work. The teacher's responsibility is not only to teach, but also to be a listener. Friendly interaction with the students is the meaning of this class.
