Ilya Rashkovskiy was born in 1981 in Irkutsk. He graduated from the Hannover Conservatory of Music and Theater and the Conservatoire Supérieure de Musique in Paris. Prize-winner at the International Marguerite Lang-Jacques Thibault Competition in Paris (2001), the Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels (2007), the Rubinstein Competition in Tel Aviv (2011) and the Hamamatsu International Piano Competition (2012). In November 2015 he recorded Scriabin's complete piano sonatas on NAR Records. He has also recorded Tchaikovsky’s The Four Seasons and Sonata in C sharp minor (Naxos, 2008), and the Fantasias by Mozart, Chopin, Liszt and Scriabin (Alpha Omega Music, Hong Kong, 2009 year), and Chopin’s complete etudes in 2013 (Victor Entertainment), etc. He has performed with the St. Petersburg and Novosibirsk Philharmonic Orchestras, the Czech National Orchestra, the Ukrainian National Symphony Orchestra, the London Chamber Orchestra, the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra and the New Japan Orchestra.
