SDGs teaching practice in climate-smart food and agriculture education

In the education at Shenkeng Elementary School in New Taipei City, food and agriculture education is a crucial way to implement the SDGs. Through classroom teaching and field visits/hands-on activities, students get an overview of the complete food supply chain from production to consumption. During this process, students participate in activities such as planting crops and learning ecological farming and sustainable development concepts. This approach promotes a healthy diet and emphasizes the importance of valuing resources and reducing food waste. Additionally, it cultivates students' environmental awareness and responsible consumption behaviors, making them become future citizens with sustainable behaviors.
