Part 1: Introduction to the MOOC Platform. Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) are large-scale, interactive, and open courses offered online, available for registration by anyone interested in taking them. Students are encouraged to log in using their Education Cloud accounts and select courses of interest to study. Part Two: Introduction to the Distance Education Certification Guidelines, key application points and considerations for the Part-Time Master’s Program in Digital Learning and the Digital Learning Program for International Students, providing a reference for faculty and staff interested in developing distance education courses or digital learning programs to plan their course development. Part Three: Integrating Generative AI into Digital Teaching. The instructor guides students in using the ChatGPT AI chatbot program, demonstrating how to use clear and precise instructions to ask ChatGPT to assist with problem-solving. The instructor demonstrates how to use commands to ask ChatGPT to assist with instructional design and instructional material production, such as designing course outlines, lecture slides, assessments, and forms, and invites students to practice simultaneously.
