Dance Instruction

In the dance course, we learned the basic steps and structure of three different dance styles: Samba, Cha-cha, and Tango. The instructor emphasized how to integrate them into various musical phrases. Samba, with its lively and rhythmic steps, allowed us to experience the unique charm of Brazilian dance. Cha-cha, on the other hand, has a quicker pace and dramatic movements. In learning it, we not only focused on step accuracy but also on controlling body rotation and posture. Tango, with its strong emotional expression, features elegant yet tense movements, requiring high precision and excellent partner coordination. Through the varying rhythms and emotional expressions of each dance style, as well as the shifts in tempo from slow to fast in the music, students learned how to adjust their steps and dance language in sync with the musical flow. Overall, this experience not only enhanced the students' dance skills but also deepened their understanding and appreciation of different dance cultures.
