The application of Earth sciences in renewable energy and carbon reduction engineering
This lecture, part of the second-year geophysics course, will focus on "The Application of Earth Sciences in Renewable Energy and Carbon Reduction Engineering." Scheduled from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the event consists of two parts: a presentation from 10:00 to 11:30 AM, followed by a Q&A and student interaction from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM. The lecture will cover the role of Earth sciences in wind power, geothermal energy, and carbon capture and storage (CCUS), including wind condition analysis, geothermal exploration, and carbon sequestration monitoring. This event aims to help students understand the importance of Earth sciences in energy transition and carbon reduction while encouraging interaction with the speaker.
