The event was jointly organized by the school and local geological experts, and the following core links were designed: 1. Geology and Fossil Guide: Experts lead students to observe stratigraphic outcrops and sediment characteristics along the river, identify the differences between marine and terrestrial strata, and explain the relationship between geological structures and environmental evolution. 2. Fossil collection and identification: Students excavated fossil specimens in the river bed on the spot, learned collection techniques and scientific classification methods, and discussed the importance of fossils to ancient environment reconstruction in the workshop. 3. Special lecture on geology: Invite geologists to explain the relationship between geological time, paleoclimate and biological evolution, and share the current status and challenges of fossil resource conservation in Taiwan.
