Bicycle tourism work practice and career development
Founded in 2009, Giant Travel Agency specializes in cycling tours, driven by the philosophy of "fulfillment, exploration, joy, inspiration, and peace of mind" to help travelers realize their cycling dreams. We offer thoughtfully designed itineraries, cycling training, support vehicle services, safety measures, and travel documentation, ensuring every participant enjoys a worry-free journey. Through the "Ride Into a New Life Series," we provide a three-stage program: 40 km to ignite passion, 40-80 km to discover potential, and Over 80 km to challenge the dream of cycling around Taiwan. These milestones allow riders to experience the sense of achievement that comes from surpassing their personal limits. Taiwan is a paradise for cycling enthusiasts, offering exquisite cuisine, diverse cultures, friendly locals, and excellent riding environments, making it ideal for exploring life's wonders on two wheels. When life feels uncertain, consider embarking on a cycling journey around the island. The trip offers a chance to rediscover your direction in life while experiencing physical and mental growth. Internship Insights: Balancing Opportunity and Challenge During a presentation on internship salaries, Giant's Associate Manager Tsai highlighted that this position offers more competitive pay than most in the food service industry. However, the intensity and professional demands of the internship are also notably higher. For example, as shown in the provided materials, interns may need to complete a significant amount of labor within a short time, such as providing round-island support or assisting in vehicle maintenance. These tasks not only require physical stamina but also test perseverance and determination. Additionally, salary increases are often tied to skill assessments and professional certifications, reflecting Giant's emphasis on the interns' technical and professional capabilities. Although this job offers generous compensation, it also challenges one’s physical fitness and mental resilience. Aspiring interns must not only have a strong passion for the cycling industry but also be prepared to adapt to a high-pressure environment. This position is not just about monetary rewards but also serves as comprehensive training in physical endurance, technical expertise, and service spirit. It is a rare opportunity to gain valuable experience and enhance personal skills in a short time.
