UT_DHW TUESDAY BROWN BAG SEMINAR(III)
This event invited Ms. Chuang Hui-Ching, Director of the Occupational Rehabilitation Service Center for People with Disabilities in New Taipei City, under the Syin-Lu Social Welfare Foundation, to share insights on the categories of disabilities and the four major services they require: child services, community support, employment support, and caregiving services. These services encompass comprehensive care for individuals from childhood to older age. Through a promotional video produced by Ms. Tiffany Hsu, who serves as the goodwill ambassador, participants gained an in-depth understanding of early intervention services and the needs of children with disabilities, while also learning how to cultivate empathy toward individuals with disabilities. The speaker highlighted the process of employment support services, including pre-employment assessments and training, job matching, interview accompaniment, and post-employment adaptation and counseling. These services provide holistic support to help individuals with disabilities successfully integrate into the workplace. Additionally, the event shed light on the career development potential of employment service personnel, inspiring more attention and support for employment services for people with disabilities.
