Using MATLAB to deconstruct cerebral vascular structures and lesions
Quantify hidden neuroimaging biomarkers, build imaging analysis platforms, and build neuroimaging libraries for detecting neurological diseases. Use MATLAB programming language as the platform to focus on medical image processing combined with the application of 3D modeling. Multimodal contents of this course, including real-world MRI/CT images, hands-on practice, and online learning videos, can enhance students' motivation and engagement for active learning. Understand the basic syntax of MATLAB and implement reading of the special format of DICOM medical images. Share how to process image noise reduction and edge detection through the use of functions and matrix operation concepts. Present data in the form of curves or images.
