Mr. Li Yishu, a teacher from the Fuxing Theatre Company, first talked about the history of the company and how the members of the company got their names. Then, he introduced the basics of Xiqu, such as the introduction of the various trades, what kind of make-up they wear on stage, and what kind of character and qualities their make-up shows, as well as the introduction of the Four Feats and Five Methods. Finally, Mr. Yishu invited the accompanying Xiqu actors to introduce the Xiqu singing style and perform a Qingyi recitation. The most attractive part of the seminar was not only the close contact with the Xiqu actors, but also the fact that Mr. Yishu brought along props and clothes for the students to experience Xiqu kung fu, such as blanket kung fu and short kung fu, and invited the students to act out the roles of the roles and learn the basic movements of the roles.
