The speaker is a Chinese Language alumnus who graduated from the Department of Chinese Language, but has taken up a seemingly unrelated job as a housing agent. In the talk, the lecturer told a story about her experience from her student days to working in the society, and shared two successful cases of her work with the students, so as to illustrate how the Chinese Language Department has helped her in her work, and to tell the students that what they have learned from the Chinese Language Department is not the useless knowledge that the general public thinks, and that as long as they dare to step out of their own limits, they can also leap with the fish in a wide sea, and let the birds fly in a high sky.
