Designing a Cost-Effective Policy Mix for Transition toward Net-Zero Emissions: A Case Study of the Mid-Term Plan by 2035 of Taiwan
This study takes Taiwan's 2035 mid-term plan as an example to explore the design of a cost-effective net-zero emission policy package. As the world attaches great importance to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, Taiwan urgently needs to formulate effective policies to address the challenges of climate change. By analyzing the costs and benefits of different policy tools, this study proposes a series of feasible policy combinations, including renewable energy development, energy efficiency improvements and carbon pricing mechanisms, aiming to promote sustainable development while ensuring economic competitiveness and achieving net-zero emissions. goals and lay a solid foundation for the future.
