Electronic structure of ferromagnetic ultra-thin film

Two-dimensional (2D) ferromagnets exhibit long-range ferromagnetic order which can be manipulated by layer thickness, doping, and strain, and they are potentially useful for developing next-generation spintronic devices. Recently, Cr-based 2D ferromagnets have attracted particular attention, because of their high Curie temperatures (TC). In this talk, I will talk about the fabrication of ferromagnetic thin films by molecular beam epitaxy method and characterized its crystal structure by reflection high energy electron diffraction and low-energy electron diffraction. The temperature dependent electronic structure and band structure evolution of ferromagnetic thin films across TC were carried out by various spectroscopies.
