Building a Different University Campus
It introduces many sites and describes the history of Yilan, including the artifacts unearthed at sites in the region and their origins and significance. The question of whether to look at the history of Taiwan from the standpoint of the Han Chinese or the aborigines, although it only poses a question and does not provide an answer, is indeed an issue that needs to be pondered by the Taiwanese society for a long time. The lecturer shared that because the University of Yilan is the only university in Taiwan that has a monument, it is necessary to excavate and explore whether or not there are cultural relics there when the campus is being built, and as a result, the original 70 million dollars of development funds have been turned into hundreds of millions of dollars because of the excavation of the cultural relics.
