【USR Hub】"Taipei City University 1+101" Taipei Net-Zero Collaboration Platform Project - "Carbon Reduction Sociology" Academic Lecture
This event centers on the theme of "Carbon Reduction Sociology," serving as an academic platform for presenting research findings and examining specific carbon reduction issues currently emphasized in Taiwan from the perspective of environmental sociology. In addition to discussing policies and previous related studies, the event incorporates public opinion survey results conducted from 2017 to 2022 to analyze the attitudes and behaviors of Taiwanese citizens toward carbon reduction. The research framework and findings are closely tied to the "2050 Net-Zero Emission Pathway and Strategy Overview" announced by the Taiwanese government in 2022. The framework is built around four key goals: "Energy Transition," "Industrial Transformation," "Lifestyle Changes," and "Societal Transformation," all aimed at advancing Taiwan's vision of achieving a net-zero transformation. The event brings together scholars and experts from both within and beyond the university, alongside researchers and students. In addition to sharing research content and findings, it facilitates in-depth discussions on issues related to carbon reduction sociology among experts, scholars, and students. The goal is to contribute to Taiwan's 2050 net-zero carbon emissions target while demonstrating the university's commitment to fulfilling its social responsibility and implementing meaningful practices.
